This past weekend, I loaded up the car with my favorite little and not so little macaronis and headed to Land of Adventures in Gettysburg for a day of family fun! This farm-style adventure park, formerly known as Land of the Little Horses, has a fresh new look, with plenty of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. If you're looking for a fun new place to explore this fall, here's what we loved about our visit:
The Corn Maze and Glow Maze Nights: Fall Fun by Day and After Dark
You can't celebrate fall without getting lost in a corn maze, right? The corn maze at Land of Adventures is a fun way to get everyone moving, exploring, and working together as you wind your way through the towering corn. It's a classic fall activity that belongs on your family's autumn bucket list! Want to make the adventure even more exciting? Plan a visit during Glow Maze Nights! Exploring the maze after dark adds a whole new level of fun and makes for a memorable fall evening with the family. Whether you visit during the day or venture through the maze at night, it's a great excuse to get outside, enjoy the season and get lost together.

Pumpkin Patch: A Little Fall Tradition
A visit to the pumpkin patch is another fall favorite, and Land of Adventures gives families the opportunity to pick out a pumpkin during their visit. Whether you're looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve, decorate your front porch, or bring home as a seasonal keepsake, it's a fun way to add a little more autumn magic to your day. Pumpkins are an optional additional purchase, prices range from $3-$7 so keep that in mind when planning your budget.

The Wagon Ride and I-Spy Animal Hunt
This was such a fun twist on a traditional wagon ride! Instead of simply sitting back and enjoying the scenery, the park turns the ride into an interactive I-Spy animal hunt. Everyone gets to join in, keep their eyes open, and look for animals along the way.
It's such a simple idea, but it turns a basic wagon ride into an exciting, interactive adventure for the whole family. It gives little ones something fun to focus on and keeps everyone involved in the experience. If your kids love a good scavenger hunt, don't skip this one!

Plenty of Adventures for Every Age
One thing I appreciated about Land of Adventures was the variety of activties. When you're visiting with kids of different ages, finding activities everyone enjoys can be tricky, but there was plenty to keep our group busy. Activties included;
Adventure Playground
The Adventure Playground was a hit with the kids! With a rope course, tunnels, and plenty of room to climb and explore, it was a great place for them to burn off some energy. If your kids are happiest when they're climbing, crawling, and testing their limits, they'll want to spend some time here.

The Jump Pillow
Fair warning: You may have a hard time convincing the kids it's time to move on! We spent more than 30 minutes jumping here, and the nonstop fun made it easy to see why this attraction is such a favorite.

Adventure Town
Younger children will love exploring this little walk-through village, where they can use their imaginations and pretend to run their own shops. My youngest nephew had an absolute blast exploring and diving into imaginative play. It's the kind of spot where little ones can slow down and create their own adventures.

Mega Slide and Pedal Carts
My son and oldest newphew especially loved the mega slide and pedal carts. They raced around and went down the slide again and again. These were great options for the tween crowd who wanted a little more action and friendly competition.

Games, Bubbles, and Farm Animals
There are plenty of other activities to discover throughout the park, too, including duck and boat racing, water play, an apple toss, skeetball, a giant bubble station, opportunities to feed the farm animals and so much more. With so many different things to try, it was easy to keep everyone entertained and find something new to enjoy around each corner.

Add-On Adventures Worth Exploring
Want to add a little something extra to your visit? Land of Adventures offers optional activities for families who want to try something beyond the typical attractions including paintball $6 and gem mining which ranged from $7-$17
A Little Nostalgia for Returning Families
If you remember visiting when the property was Land of the Little Horses, you'll find a few familiar touches along the way.
The horse-height mural just inside Adventure Town is a particularly sweet nod to the park's history. It's a fun place to measure the kids and see how much they've grown. If you've visited in years past, it's worth stopping for an updated picture.
At Frontier Town you can still take a walk through the old Jail, Saloon, General Store and Church. They’ve also added a stockade and steer heads where you can grab a rope and practice your lassoing skills. It also now serves as the boarding area for the wagon rides.
The former indoor show arena now host family dance parties, and offers an indoor escape for when the weather is just not cooperating.
It's was so nice to see pieces of the property's history remain part of the experience.

Snacks, Lunch, and Little Extras
All that climbing, jumping, and exploring is bound to work up an appetite!
The on-site Snack Bar offers family-friendly options at affordable prices. And if you visit, I recommend trying the apple cider slushie. It's a delicious seasonal treat that fits right in with a fall day on the farm! Prefer to bring food from home? You can pack your own lunch and enjoy it at the outdoor picnic tables. Please note party groups get their reserved space for the full length of their time slot.
We had such a fun time exploring Land of Adventures! Between the jumping, sliding, racing, animal encounters, and seasonal fall activities, there was plenty to keep our crew entertained. Whether you're looking for a daytime outing, a new fall tradition, or an evening adventure through a glowing corn maze, there's plenty here to make the trip worthwhile. So pack up the kids, grab your camera, and make a day of it- Land of Adventures is a destination you won't want to miss.

Purchasing tickets online is a good idea and saves time too!
