Macaroni KID, in partnership with the Friends of Glen Rock Borough and the Glen Rock Rec Board, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual York County Kids Thanksgiving Balloon Parade on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Inspired by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the event is designed just for kids ages 1–17. Children will march down the Rail Trail with colorful, kid-created balloon “floats” while families and spectators line the route to cheer them on.
How Kids Can Participate
- Create a Balloon Float: Kids can craft their own balloon creations or purchase a special balloon to carry.
- Wear an Inflatable Costume: Participants are encouraged to march in their favorite inflatable costume.
- Decorate Anything That Rolls: Strollers, wagons, and mobility aids can all be decorated and parade-ready.
Every participant will receive a special treat bag at the finish line.
Parade Details
- When: Saturday, November 7, 2026. Check-in and lineup begin at 10:00 AM.
- Where: The Rail Trail in front of the Hufnagel Library, 32 Main St., Glen Rock, PA
- Route: Participants will march along the trail toward Table 1837 at the Glen Rock Mill Inn, then loop back to the Library. The Rail Trail is fully handicap accessible, so families with mobility aids, strollers, or wagons can easily join.

Parade Guidelines
- Registration is required for all participants.
- All balloons must be family-friendly.
- Children 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult marching alongside them.
Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteers to help make the parade a success, including:
- Check-in Volunteers to welcome participants
- Parade Handlers to assist with traffic and safety along the route
- Treat Bag Distributors and Sponsors to hand out finish-line treats
