Some of my favorite summer childhood memories revolve around enjoying local fireworks shows with family—and now I continue that tradition with my own children. For many of us, summer isn’t complete without at least one fireworks display.

🎇 June 26 – York Township “Freedom Fireworks: America 250 Celebration”
📍 York Township Park (190 Oak Road, Dallastown, PA 17313)
🕕 6:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Fireworks at dusk

Highlights:
- Live band performance beginning early evening
- Food trucks including tacos, ice cream, pretzels, and more
- Kids’ craft stations and interactive activities
- Fireworks at dark followed by an outdoor movie screening
- Family-friendly lawn seating encouraged (blankets/chairs recommended)

🎇 July 4 – York City “History Made Here” Independence Celebration
📍 Downtown York & WellSpan Park (334 Carlisle Avenue, York, PA 17404)
🕘 All Day| Fireworks after baseball game (9:30 PM)
Highlights:
- 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: York County Cultural Festival at the York Expo Center.
- 12:00 p.m.: Bell Ringing Across York County, immediately followed by an official program in the Expo Center Grandstand.
- 2:00 p.m.: Independence Day Municipal Parade. It will march off inside the fairgrounds and travel east down Market Street to the County Administrative Center.
- 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: York Revolution Pre-game Promenade leading up to a baseball game against the Lancaster Stormers at 5:30 p.m. at WellSpan Park.
- 8:30 p.m.: York Symphony Orchestra Concert at the stadium.
- Dusk: Grand Fireworks Display to close out the holiday.
